Adding flames

In an attempt to add more spice and hopefully improve my Tango, decided to try out Flamenco. Well, it was either this or tap dance, as is practised by Pablo Veron, of The Tango Lesson fame. 🙂

Had my first Flamenco class tonight. It was one of those ongoing beginners classes – one where anyone can join in at any time, so it was kind of heavy going at first. And I realised one thing: it is not that straightforward to isolate the hand clapping from taking steps, especially when the clapping takes place between taking steps… It’s almost like learning to walk again. I was kind of a klutz at it, in fact!
