Learning habits
Have not really been able to reconcile the changes in my Tango after my recent trips to Berlin and Taipei. And I guess it must have been just nagging away at the back of my mind without my knowing. A recent conversation provided the breakthrough I needed, and then everything fell into place.
The mental “thing”
Have just returned from the Taiwan Tango Festival. Naturally, I was feeling extremely tired, the result of attending too many workshops no doubt!
However, frankly, while I was there, I was not really dancing as my usual self. You may say it was a case of lack of a ‘home-ground’ advantage!? Or just too much workshop so that I was in the midst of a workshop-new-look transitional phase, neither here nor there kind of thing!? While this may seem odd to some, this is not that unusual for me – the ‘uncoordinatedness’ immediately after a Tango workshop.
CD listings
A belated announcement of the fact I have placed a listing of my Tango CD collection online – CD titles only.
Workshop and styles
New concepts again.
Time to take stock of what I have been taught over the past two days in the workshop with Ricardo and Gladys. I am using the passive sense here because, for me at any rate, I don’t believe that I can walk away from any Tango workshop and then be able to immediately say that I have learnt such-and-such. The material will always take some time to sink in, to be digested and then, hopefully, become part of me.
