Group tango from DNI
I have always enjoyed solo performances from the best dancers. However, there is something to said about seeing a group of people performing the same movements in time, no? Well, this clip of teachers from DNI is just fun, fun, fun all the way!
By the way, the title of the song is “La Milonga Que Faltaba”.
Musical Vals
“La Tapera” by Donato orchestra is one of my favourite Vals at the moment, as danced by one of the most musical dancers in the current generation of maestros. The calm seen in the first 40 seconds of the clip and around the 1:10 mark followed by the subsequent “explosion” is simply marvellous!
Youthful energy
Javier Rodriguez with his former partner, Geraldine Rojas, doing a, ummm, “slightly” faster number? 🙂
Note that Gustavo Naveira is also in the background. I wish I knew what the occasion was, with the big names around and what looks like a professional video camera?
How not to Tango
Just saw this funny clip mentioned on La Nuit Blanche (translated to be “the sleepless night” using Babel Fish). Kind of reminded me of a skit that was done recently at a Tango friend’s birthday party. These guys look like pros, however.
